Kaitiaki Academy · in development

Training that targets exactly what you failed.

Generic annual security training never moves the needle. Kaitiaki Academy is built the other way around: when Sentinel flags a specific gap in your environment, the matching micro-module opens for your team — so staff brush up on the exact control that failed, and completion becomes real evidence of remediation.

How it works

From a Sentinel finding to a fixed habit.

No catalogue to assign, no annual tick-box. The course finds the person — driven by what your own environment actually got wrong.

1 · Sentinel finds a gap

A real detection from your logs — weak MFA, an exposed service, a policy breach, an over-privileged account — surfaces with the control it maps to.

2 · The matching module opens

The short course on that exact control unlocks for your organisation — scoped to the team or staff the finding relates to. No assigning, no admin overhead.

3 · Your staff brush up

A focused module, finishable in a coffee break. Completion ties back to the finding — so it's evidence of remediation, not just attendance.

Why this model

Closing the loop from incident to habit.

Finding-driven — modules unlock from real Sentinel detections, not a generic library you have to manage
Short & focused — bite-sized modules on a single control, built to actually be finished
Org-scoped — opened to the organisation and people the finding relates to
Evidence, not theatre — completion is recorded against the finding for your remediation trail
Mapped to the frameworks — each module references the Privacy Act / Essential Eight control behind the finding
Part of the platform — no separate LMS to buy; it lives where your findings already are

This is being built now.

The finding-driven Academy is in active development as part of the Kaitiaki platform. If you'd like to shape it — or be in the first cohort when it ships — let's talk.
